World Radio Day is a UNESCO celebration of all the good that radio does for us all! Starting in 2012, we are now in the 11th WRD.
This year the theme for WRD is “Radio and Peace” a vital theme given all the strife in our world today. Radio can be a tool to broadcast messages for conflict resolution
So take a moment to tune around the dial and listen to special programming commemorating the day. Many international broadcasters (e.g. Radio Romania International, Radio Prague, Radio España Exterior, among others) will have special segments celebrating this important day for the medium we all enjoy so much!
